Oil-by-rail shipments are playing Russian roulette- and other links



Oil-train records public, Texas attorney general says -    Oil-train records held by the Texas Department of Public Safety are not exempt from state open records law, the state attorney general ruled last week, and must be released in full to news organizations.



  BISMARCK, N.D. — The derailment in West Virginia of a train carrying oil from North Dakota is prompting complaints that state and federal governments aren't doing enough to ensure the safe transport of crude by rail.
